Wells Ski Club shirts

Wells has some remarkable ski history. The heyday of its hard rock gold mining years coinciding with rapid innovations in ski binding technology, plus enough miners of Scandinavian heritage and of course, plenty of snow, resulted in numerous ski runs and a jump on Cow Mountain.

A number of years ago, Robin Grady kindly loaned us an original felt badge that he and other members of the Wells Ski Club used to wear. Using this design, another variation we found, plus the club’s business cards and some photos, I rendered a facsimile version that I could screen print on shirts. Here’s the evolution of the design:

Here is how the new design looks screen printed on Indigo Blue and Sport Grey cotton with black and white water based textile inks:

I’m printing these shirts one last time. Small to Extra Large sizes @ $28 including PST & GST; 2XL shirts @ $32 including PST & GST. Prices do not include shipping.

Our crowdsourcing campaign has wrapped up, but you can click to see our video clip!

Thanks to all who contributed to our fundraising campaign help us exhibit our forest and plant-based art at the Spanish Plant Pathology Society Congress in Palencia, Spain in September, 2016. To see photos and accounts of this and other exhibitions at science conferences, see our blog here.

Welcome to Amazing Space Studio and Gallery

This is our 24th year in the former Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 2338 Bowman Crescent in Wells, BC Canada, but we are in transition – see our “News from Claire & Bill” page for updates. Our gallery is open daily from 3-6 pm in the summer and by request in other seasons. We mostly feature our own work and produce nearly everything in-house.  (Sort of the opposite to Walmart 😉
